This attractive, silvery-grey absinthe plant makes an ideal background in a border. It is excellent as an insect repellent.
Cultivation mode
Plantation : Absinthe can be sown directly in the garden throughout spring and summer.
Soil : ordinary or rich, as long as it is not soggy. Work the soil well with compost or manure.
Spacing : place the seeds 1 or 2 cm deep. When the plants have formed 4 or 5 leaves, thin out to 20 cm in the row spaced at least 20 cm apart.
Cultural practices : once properly seated, it shouldn't require a lot of maintenance. In order to regenerate your plants, divide the clump in the spring every 3 years or so.
Harvest : flowers and leaves can be cut as needed until the first frost. It is better to pluck the stems one at a time, rather than pulling a few leaves as you go. Be sure to eat preferably the oldest stems.
