Indoor sowing : 8 weeks before transplanting in the garden. (*)
(*) From 7 to 10 days after the date of the last ground frost.
Smaller, more compact variety of ground cherry, well suited for containers. Smaller fruits (11-14 mm) with lightly colored husks. Good ramification and short internode spaces.
Green Thumb
Cultural practices : seed indoors, under light, approximately six to eight weeks before the expected date of the last soil frost in your area. Harden the seedlings before planting in the garden. Growth is best at temperatures of 21 ° C to 24 ° C or higher.
Soil : prepare your soil well by incorporating a lot of rotten manure or compost, at least 30 cm deep. Additionally, add an all-purpose fertilizer before planting.
Spacing : transplant the plants 45-60 cm apart, in rows 90 cm apart.
Growing tips : it tolerates a wide range of fertile and well-drained soils. It requires constant humidity, but care must be taken not to overwater, which would diminish the flavor of the fruit. Grow them in a warm, sunny place.
Harvest : harvest the fruits as they ripen. Before frost, remove the plants from the ground by holding them by the roots, and hang them upside down inside to allow the remaining fruit to ripen.
