Cultivation mode
Plantation : Indoor: Sow seeds in March, in individual pots because their roots should not be disturbed. Outdoor: direct sowing in June. Germination is faster if the temperature it 15-18 °C. The germination time is 10-14 days.
Soil : Indoor: A well-drained, porous sowing media is best to prevent overwatering. Outdoor: It grows in all well-drained soils, rather dry even poor or a little calcareous. If planting in heavy or moist soil improve drainage with river sand or gravel.
Culturals practices : Transplant in May or June without undoing the root ball because mallow hardly supports transplanting. The following years allow spontaneous seedlings to develop, which often appear not far from the mother plant. Plant mallow preferably in a sunny location where it blooms more.
