Culturals practices : Flowering in the first year, Asclepias may be able to survive the winter in perfectly drained soil, but it is best to consider it an annual so as not to be disappointed. For an open ground culture: the soil must be light, draining and cool and the site well sunny. For a pot culture: place the Curacao milkweed in full sun, once the frosts have passed and, in the fall, bring it in the cool and in the light (cold greenhouse, veranda) to allow it to pass the winter season. It is advisable to remove the fruits as soon as they form, to encourage new blooms.
