Cultivation mode

Plantation : Indoor: It is suggested to sow 8 weeks before planting outside. Lightly cover the seeds with your soil. Seeds need a temperature of 21-25°C or higher. Light promotes germination. Seeds germinate in 15-30 days.

Soil : Indoor: A well-drained, porous sowing media is best to prevent overwatering. Outdoor: Fresh soil rich in humus.

Culturals practices : Set up your seedlings when the risk of frost has passed. Distance your plants 50 cm. It appreciates cool, humus-rich soils, but adapts to other types of soil. Be sure to provide it with a sunny location, which will contribute to good fruits. Water them regularly the first year. Then, provide watering in case of hot weather or prolonged drought. Add a little tomato plant food to help the inflorescences turn red. Once set up, Physalis requires almost no maintenance. The plants are resistant to insects and diseases in the garden. Prune the stems at the end of the season and limit the size of the plant if it is spreading too far. From the third year, divide them in the spring if you want to multiply.
